Accordion fold pocket card - SU

 

Card  recipe:

Grey granite card: 5 3/4” x 11” scored @ 4 ¼”, 5 ½” and 6 ¾” 

use off-cuts  for backing sentiment

Basic White: triangle cut from rectangle 4 x 5 1/2 cut diagonally – use off-cut for stamping

Trusty Tools SAB papers :  1 @ 4” x 5 1/2”, 2 @ 1” x 5 1/3”

cut diagonally –take care to cut the correct way with directional paper. I chose one with a non-directional pattern on the back and used this for the inside card front. see video

DSP – 2 strips 1” x 5 1/2 to cover the accordion fold inside

Step-by-step instructions to use with video on YT 

 

·        *Fold and burnish all score lines very well

·        *cut the front of the card diagonally from top left to bottom right

·        *use offcut for inside to form pocket front

·        *add DSP to the inside back

·        *make a pocket by glueing the left and bottom edges of the triangle offcut from the base, ensuring all edges match and do not overlap the score line – trim if needed

·        *cut DSP for front and use offcut for inside

·        *add DSP strips to the spine

·        *Place fussy cut tools on the front and lift with dimensionals

·       * make strip sentiment with the trimmer. Raise with dimensional avoiding tools and stick to the front. Trim edges.

·        *add embellishments like screws

·        *add a basic white triangle inside to write on. Adhere fussy-cut tool

·        *place more tools in the pocket. Tack down with glue dots
